: If a post office employee, contrary to his duty, opens or opens or knowingly stops or causes or causes to be delayed or causes to be removed or delays the removal of postal items, in the case of a post office employee in the course of handling the post, If the delivery is made or caused, he will be punished with imprisonment for a maximum period of one year or with a fine of up to ten thousand rupees or both. However, nothing in this section shall apply to the opening, retention or delay in delivery of any postal item under the authority given by this Act or in accordance with the written order of the Government of Nepal or in accordance with the instructions of the authorized court.
